Topic One – The Douchebags of 40k

DSR takes a slightly more casual approach to the first episode of the new year, with three topics for round table discussion. The boys are joined by Big Jim from Galaxy In Flames and The Custodes for the first topic – the douchebags (AKA Dicks) of the 40K universe. Who you hate, who you should hate, and what’s this? The Emprah himself is one of them? Heresy!

Topic Two – What we miss

For the second round table discussion the boys are joined by Starminer from The Custodes to discuss the things that are missed from the 40K universe and hobby. Gather your hearing aids and zimmerframes as Starminer and Chase reminisce on the “Good Old Days” of Dark Millennium and 2nd Edition. We here at Deepstrike Radio would like to wish all of our listeners a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

For all who have listened, on behalf of all three hosts we thank you for your support. The three months or so since we started this has been a very crazy, very intense time. From our first episode, to establishing The Custodes Forum, to the Dark Eldar review we have learnt lots. Know that 2011 will be a very big year for DSR – we will have some HUGE guests, more competitions, our first Games Day coverage, and much more. Stay tuned for more!

For those who don’t know, we encountered significant techincal problems during our Live Call In Show. Skype and Ustream problems prohibited us from having the show we wanted. We hope to resolve these problems in the next few days, but if we don’t we will provide you with a ‘year wrap up’ show within the week.

EPISODE #1 – Deepstrike Radio Arrives

The time has arrived, and so must we.

Episode One of Deepstrike Radio will give you a taste of what is to come. With around 25 years hobby experience between us we are aiming to deliver a Podcast unlike others out there – a podcast that caters for the hobbyist in all of us. In our first segment, we introduce the show’s hosts – Chris, Dave and Chase, and explain a little of our background and the type of gamer we are. We also include a bit of chat about what we have been up to during our week in the hobby. Following this, we step blindly into the Warp and deliver the following segments.

Regular Segment – News in a Flash

Each episode will contain a brief overview of recent news in the hobby. 40K Lore will be a topic each episode we will evaluate a portion of fluff from the vast universe that is Warhammer 40,000. This episode we crack open the Horus Heresy Collected Visions and compare the book with the Black Library Horus Heresy series – and as how they differ, and where you should start if you are new to the hobby or just seeking inspiration for a new project.
